Recommended hardware

Minimum specifications

To get the most out of the Excited 3D your computer must meet certain minimum requirements. The higher the performance of your computer, the smoother your 3D experience will be.

When your computer doesn’t meet the minimum specifications, you can run into problems, such as less detailed graphics and longer render times, and even computer crashes.

The minimum hardware requirements are:

  • 16 GB RAM
  • High-speed processor
  • Powerful graphics card (GPU)

Windows

A computer with a powerful graphics card (GPU) is important when working in 3D. From our experience, the Nvidia Geforce RTX graphics cards bring the best results.

You can use Excited 3D on a laptop without any issues, just avoid devices with integrated GPUs (built-in part, which depends on the computer’s memory). A laptop with 16 GB RAM and Nvidia Geforce RTX (2060 or higher) GPU is a good option.

macOS

Overall, computers with Windows and powerful GPUs are better for working in 3D than systems with macOS.

The latest iMacs or MacBooks with M1/M2 chips and 16 GB RAM are the best macOS options for modeling and rendering.

We do not recommend using the app on older Apple devices or laptops without M1/M2 chip. Those devices are not suitable for working in 3D.
